Vol. 201 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballina (Mayo) Commonage.

23.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will arrange for the division of the commonage held by twenty-four tenants at Roy, Doohoma, Ballina, County Mayo, when the lands of Denis G.B. Bingham, Roy, are being divided amongst those tenants.

Three tenants have been migrated by the Land Commission from this townland and the remaining 21 holdings are pending for rearrangement. The possibility of dividing the commonage referred to, which comprises some 460 acres, will be examined when rearrangement proposals are being formulated but I need hardly say that co-operation on the part of the shareholders will be essential.
