Vol. 201 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Minister's Visit to United States.

2.

asked the Taoiseach if the present visit of the Minister for Lands to the United States is an official one at State cost; and, if so, what is the purpose of the visit.

The Minister's visit to the United States of America took place at the invitation of the Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, by whom the cost of the visit, apart from some minor, incidental expenses, is being borne.

In addition to attending the St. Patrick's Day Parade, the Minister was taken on a tour of game and angling centres in Colorado and availed himself of the opportunity to address representative bodies on Ireland generally, with particular emphasis on our tourist attractions, especially in the field of game and angling.
