Vol. 201 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Clonmel Estate.

54.

asked the Minister for Lands what is the present position with regard to the acquisition and division of the Phelan Estate, Kilgeany, Clonmel, County Waterford; and whether in view of the serious congestion at present in the area and the hardship suffered by local smallholders through lack of land he will take steps to expedite the division of this estate.

This 82 acre estate came into the possession of the Land Commission last year. I am as yet unable to say when allotment will be feasible but I have asked that the matter be expedited.
