asked the Minister for Agriculture the number of persons employed in the Agricultural Institute holding university degrees, the degrees held, and the particular type of work at which they are at present engaged.

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it in the Official Report.

Graduates are engaged in research on soils, plant sciences, crop husbandry, grassland, animal production, meat, dairying, horticulture, agricultural economics, agricultural marketing, agricultural engineering, farm buildings, farm management and rural sociology. Some carry responsibilities relating to research administration and to scientific and agricultural liaison including the dissemination of research information.
