Vol. 202 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Passage East (Waterford) Pier.

31.

asked the Minister for Lands when the improvement works on the fishing pier at Passage East, County Waterford, will commence; and what is the estimated cost.

Proposals for the improvement of harbour facilities at Passage East are under consideration and a decision will be taken as soon as possible. Until this decision is taken I am not in a position to say when works may commence or what they may cost.

Would it be possible that work could commence before the end of the year?

A decision will be taken fairly shortly.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary enlighten me as to what "fairly shortly" means?

The Deputy can put down another question.

I asked a question about the time and I do not see why I should put it down again. Would it be six months?

We will take a decision before that.
