Vol. 202 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Industrial Surveys.

7.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the total number of industries covered by the survey teams set up by the Committee on Industrial Organisation; the number of surveys completed for which reports have yet to be published; the number of surveys yet to be completed; and the date by which he expects the publication of the survey teams' reports to be completed.

The survey of 24 different industries has been undertaken by teams appointed by the Committee on Industrial Organisation. Reports on five of these industries have already been published and the reports on a further four industries have now been completed and will be published shortly. Seven other reports have reached an advanced stage, and I expect that publication of these and the remaining reports will be completed before the end of the year.

How many surveys have to take place after the seven which the Minister contemplates will be published soon?

I am afraid I will have to start counting up.

It is all right; I will get the information later.

I could give the Deputy more information later.

Very well.
