Vol. 203 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Repair of Tullamore Road.

3.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that 26 residents at St. Colman's Terrace, Tullamore, County Offaly, have urgently requested repairs to the road in the terrace and the removal of surplus water from the road; and that they were informed that the county council are not responsible for the road, although the council own the houses, and receive rent and rates from all concerned; and if he will consider making a grant to the local authority for the carrying out of this work under a relief scheme, or any other such scheme by which work of this nature can be undertaken, as the local residents are not in a position to contribute towards the cost in view of the fact that they are already paying substantial rent and rates.

I have not received any representations about this road.
