Vol. 203 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Meath Estate.

24.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Agnew Estate, Summerville, Balrath, Navan, County Meath has been taken over by the Land Commission; and, if not, whether arrangements are being made to acquire it.

This estate has not been taken over by the Land Commission. Certain dealings affecting the property are pending between the Land Commission and the owner but for the present these must be treated as confidential.

Will the Parliamentary Secretary guarantee that within the next few weeks we shall not find that a German has bought that estate and that the Land Commission, then, cannot acquire it ?

You can take it that the Land Commission will have it very shortly.

Thank you very much.
