Vol. 203 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Holidays of Credit Agents.

19.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if credit agents, who work on a commission basis, are entitled to annual holidays or public holidays if they have the necessary number of hours worked.

The Holidays (Employment) Act, 1961, confers entitlement to holidays with pay on workers who are employed under a contract of service or a contract of apprenticeship. The position under the Act of the credit agents mentioned in the Deputy's question would, therefore, depend on their employment contracts.
