(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Education if he will give a list of the national schools in South Tipperary-West Waterford constituency, stating in respect of each school whether (a) a piped water supply, (b) modern toilet and sewerage facilities and (c) ESB power supply are provided.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Education if he will give a list of new national schools erected in South Tipperary-West Waterford constituency in the past five years, giving details in each case in regard to (a) piped water supply, (b) modern toilet and sewerage facilities and (c) ESB power supply.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Education if he will give a list of the schools in South Tipperary-West Waterford constituency where plans have been made as regards (a) piped water supply, (b) modern toilet and sewerage facilities and (c) ESB power supply; and what stage planning has reached in the case of each school in respect of (a), (b) and (c).

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Education if he will give the list of national schools in South Tipperary-West Waterford constituency in need of (a) replacement and (b) reconstruction.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Education if he will indicate the national schools in South Tipperary-West Waterford constituency where plans have been made in regard to (a) replacement and (b) reconstruction; and what stage planning has reached in the case of each school in regard to (a) and (b).

1. When new national schools are being erected it is the practice to have them wired for electric lighting, etc., provided that E.S.B. current is available.

2. It is the policy of the Department to have all new national schools provided with water and a water flushed system of sanitation wherever a water supply is or can be made available.

3. The Department's records do not in relation to many of the existing schools contain information as to the method of lighting and the form of sanitation.
