Vol. 203 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Prosecutions of Landlords.

55.

asked the Minister for Justice the number of cases in each of the past five years where landlords in the city of Dublin were prosecuted for not keeping property, let out by them, in proper repair and maintenance and the result of each such case.

As the information required is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have it circulated with the Official Report. The figures are in respect of proceedings arising from the provisions relating to dangerous buildings in the Towns Improvement Clauses Act, 1847, the Dublin Improvements Acts (Amendment) Act, 1864, and the Dublin Corporation Act, 1890; and do not include proceedings brought under the provisions of the Sanitary Services Acts.

Following is the statement:—
