Vol. 203 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tipperary Telephone Facilities.

8.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if, in view of continuing complaints from Dundrum, County Tipperary and Tipperary town, he will consider the desirability of a new building, new exchange and switchboard facilities at Tipperary town.

Arrangements are being made to provide additional switchboards at Tipperary exchange. An automatic exchange at Tipperary is planned and the necessary contract drawings for a new building have been completed. The complaint received, however, relates principally to delay on trunk calls from Dundrum, County Tipperary, and the question of effecting an improvement is at present under examination.
