Proposals for the development of a major fishery harbour at Castletown-bere include the provision of new quays by reclamation of an area along the north-west shoreline, the dredging of the berthage area and approach channel and the construction of a new ramp to the north of the reclaimed area. It is hoped to commence the reclamation work before the end of the present year.
