Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the cost to public funds to date of the investigation into the affairs of Irish Estates Limited.

It is not anticipated that the investigation will involve any cost to public funds.

When will the report of the investigation be available?

The answer is contained in the reply to the next question on the Order Paper.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether the report of the inquiry into the affairs of Irish Estates Limited has yet been submitted to him.

I have not yet received the report.

Has the Minister any idea when the report will be available?

I understand that the last sitting at which evidence will be taken will be this month. I expect to get the report very soon after that.
