Vol. 205 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Social Welfare Agents' Salary Increases.

67.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if it is proposed to grant an increase in salary to unestablished social welfare agents, i.e. former national health insurance agents.

Claims for pay increases on behalf of local agents of my Department fall to be dealt with under the scheme of Conciliation and Arbitration for the Civil Service. A claim for an increase in pay for the unestablished agents was the subject of discussion at meetings of the Departmental Council in my Department in October and November, 1962. Disagreement on the claim was recorded at the November meeting. There have been no developments in the matter since then.
