Vol. 205 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dental Clinic for Finglas and Cabra.

2.

asked the Minister for Health if he will arrange for the establishment of a dental clinic in the Finglas and Cabra areas, Dublin, having regard to the distance which school-going children requiring dental services are obliged to travel.

I understand that dental services are provided each week-day at the Health Centre, Ballygall Road, Finglas for eligible children referred to the centre for dental treatment; these include children from Cabra residing convenient to the Health Centre.

The establishment of a dental clinic in Cabra would be a matter for the Dublin Health Authority in the first instance and I have received no proposal in the matter from that body. I understand, however, that the matter will be considered by the Health Authority in conjunction with a comprehensive review of their dental services which they propose to make shortly.

The sound system seems to be very little use today.

Mr. Ryan

Thank God for that.
