Vol. 205 No. 11

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Army Meat Supplies.

37.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Defence the mode of appointing contractors for the supply of meat to the Army.

Contracts for the supply of bacon and mutton for all military posts and for the supply of beef for all posts outside Dublin and the Curragh areas are arranged on the basis of competitive tendering. Supplies of beef for Dublin and the Curragh areas are produced by military and civilian employees of the Department from cattle purchased for this Department by an agent.
