Statistics of dentures supplied by health authorities in the years prior to the year ended 31st December, 1956, are not available in my Department as health authorities were not required to furnish such figures prior to that date, and I do not think that it would be reasonable to expect health authorities to examine their earlier records with a view to extracting the information, if that were feasible. The information requested by the Deputy in respect of the years 1956 onwards is being assembled. If the Deputy repeats his question in a fortnight's time, I expect to be in a position then to supply him with the available information in the form requested.
