asked the Minister for Finance how many hotel licences have been granted in every year since 1st January, 1946.

As the answer includes a tabular statement I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

Following is the answer:—

The information requested is not available in respect of years prior to 1954. The following table gives particulars of liquor licences issued to hotels in each year since 1954.
