The Irish Potato Marketing Company purchases potatoes for export on an f.o.b. basis. I am informed by the Company that the average f.o.b. price for certified seed from the 1962 crop was £28 per ton. In view of the surplus potato stocks in most European countries it is anticipated that the average f.o.b. price for the 1963 crop will be around £20 per ton.
