The Land Commission have recently decided to move for acquisition of this 75-acre estate. Owner's solicitors have been informed accordingly and the statutory notices will be published this week.

asked the Minister for Lands if it is proposed to acquire for division amongst local smallholders, cottiers and others, the lands of the late Denis Heaney at Rock View, Mantle Hill, Cashel, County Tipperary, and one hundred acres at Ballinahinch, Cashel.

I understand that the lands referred to were purchased by a local family early this year. There are no proceedings for acquisition of the estate but the Deputy's representations have been conveyed to the Land Commission.
