Vol. 207 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kinnitty (Offaly) Dispensary Doctor.

20.

asked the Minister for Health when it is proposed to have a medical officer appointed for the dispensary district of Kinnitty, County Offaly; and if he is aware of the general demand from the public for the provision of this urgent service.

As a result of a recent competition, the Local Appointments Commission hope to be able to recommend a candidate to the local authority very shortly for appointment as permanent district medical officer of Kinnitty dispensary district.

As the Deputy is no doubt aware, the health authority have provided, by means of temporary appointments, district medical officer services in the area pending the selection of a candidate for appointment to the permanent post.
