Vol. 207 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Garden of Remembrance.

46.

asked the Minister for Finance what progress has been made in regard to the Garden of Remembrance since he furnished information in a reply of 10th December, 1963.

Except for a number of minor items, the main construction work on the Garden is finished.

Arrangements for the acquisition of the strip of ground along the eastern side of Parnell Square which is required for the improvement of the approach to the Garden are well advanced and this part of the work should be completed this year.

The form of memorial sculpture has not yet been determined but it is now hoped that a decision on the matter will not be long delayed.
