Vol. 207 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Reciprocal Pension Arrangements with Britain.

72.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare whether any decision has yet been come to on the question of making reciprocal arrangements with the British Government in regard to pensions; if the question of restrictions on the payment of British pensions to persons living here will be part of the negotiations; and when these negotiations are likely to be held.

The question of making reciprocal arrangements with Great Britain in regard to pensions is still under consideration. The restrictions imposed by the British Authorities on the payment of their pensions to persons living in this country will be adverted to in dealing with the question but it is not possible, at this stage, to say when negotiations are likely to be held.
