Vol. 207 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drimnagh (Dublin) Road Scheme.

29.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position regarding the Long Mile Road, Drimnagh, Dublin, new road scheme; and if, having regard to the danger which the absence of footpaths creates at present and the generally unsatisfactory condition of the whole roadway, he will have such of the work commenced immediately as can be completed without waiting for acquisition of some private properties.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply on 3rd December, 1963, to a previous Question by him on the subject. No further proposals have been received from Dublin Corporation. I understand that the Corporation do not consider it desirable to proceed with any portion of the scheme until the question of land acquisition has been disposed of.
