Vol. 207 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Roscommon River Drainage.

14.

asked the Minister for Finance when the drainage work is likely to commence on the Ballyglass-Knockcroghery River, County Roscommon.

A drainage scheme for the Ballyglass-Knockcroghery Catchment has recently been prepared and it is hoped to place it on exhibition locally in accordance with the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, very soon. Pending completion of the exhibition and compliance with the other requirements of the Act, I cannot state a date for commencement of work but all going well, it should be possible to make a start next autumn.
