Vol. 207 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Army Promotion.

42.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Defence in respect of a person (name supplied), recently promoted to the rank of sergeant, his prior periods of service in different ranks in the Army, the nature of any charges against him which were heard at any time by courts martial, and the dates and outcomes of such courts martial.

The promotion in question was made by the appropriate military authority in accordance with Rialacháin Óglaigh na hÉireann and I am not prepared to furnish the information sought by the Deputy.
