Vol. 208 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers - Kerry Housing Programme.

42.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will arrange with the Kerry County Council to have their housing programme speeded up to enable two hundred houses per year to be built, so as to wipe out the backlog within three years.

I understand that arrangements are being made by the housing authority to expand and accelerate their house building programme. The target being set is, I understand, 140 cottages a year, but if I can be of assistance in increasing that figure I shall be glad to consider any further proposals the council may submit to that end.
