With your permission, Sir, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the national average retail prices of the commodities specified as ascertained for the calculation of the Consumer Price Index at mid-November, 1963. The corresponding data in respect of mid-February, 1964 are not yet available. The prices relate to a quality in substantial demand in the areas reported.
