Vol. 208 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Villierstown (Waterford) Water Supply Scheme.

33.

asked the Minister for Local Government what is the position regarding the proposed water supply scheme for Villierstown, County Waterford; and whether, in view of the fact that the population of some 300 persons are completely dependent at present on one pump and that the building of a new school in the area has been held up because of the lack of water supply, he will take immediate steps to have this water supply installed.

Preliminary proposals for Villierstown water supply scheme were approved in principle on 22nd November last. I understand that contract documents, which are being prepared by the council's consulting engineer, will be ready within the next few weeks.
