Vol. 208 No. 5

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: No. 6 and then No. 7. It is proposed to interrupt business at 6.30 p.m. to take No. 7 and, when completed, to resume the Order.

Is the Taoiseach today in a position to tell us (1) whether it is proposed to adjourn for the recess tomorrow and (2) when the Government intend to introduce the Budget?

The Dáil will adjourn tomorrow until 7th April and the Deputy can take it that the Budget will probably be introduced on 14th April—certainly not before that date.

I assume that there will be no time limit on the debate on the Vote for the Department of External Affairs and that the Dáil will adjourn tomorrow at 5 p.m., as usual?

Five o'clock.

Would the Chair be so kind as to make clear to me why my question on the increase in Dublin bus fares tabled for today was ruled out of order?

I communicated with the Deputy on the matter.

The intelligence did not reach me yet—officially anyway.
