Vol. 208 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - European Convention on Establishment.

27.

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether the Government will now adhere to the European Convention on Establishment, which has been signed by fourteen member-states of the Council of Europe.

The European Convention on Establishment has not yet entered into force. Some of the provisions of the Convention, while they do not constitute obstacles to its acceptance, necessitate the formulation of appropriate reservations or declarations before signature can take place. These are at present under consideration by the appropriate Government Departments concerned.
