asked the Minister for Lands if he will consider acquiring land at (1) the Rockhill Mountain, Rockchapel, County Cork and (2) the White Hill, Meentina, Rockchapel, and portions of the lands of (3) Ben and Jeremiah Angland, Meentina, Meelin, (4) Denis Mulcahy, Rockchapel, and (5) Philip Murphy, Rockchapel, for forestry purposes and to provide further employment in the district.

My Department will be pleased to consider acquiring all lands suitable for afforestation offered to it. Price agreement was not reached in the case of some offers of land in this area but some of the lands mentioned by the Deputy have never been on offer to the Department.
