Vol. 209 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Credit Union Movement.

25.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce when he will introduce the legislation requested by the credit union movement.

A Bill to amend the Industrial and Provident Societies Acts to facilitate the registration and control of credit unions is at present being prepared. I am not in a position, at this stage, to say when the Bill will be ready, but it will be introduced as soon as practicable.
