asked the Minister for Finance if he will state, in respect of each of the last examinations held for posts of clerk-typist on (a) clerical, (b) typing, and (c) shorthand typing duties, the number who sat for the examination, the number who were called, and the number who took up duty; and if he will give comparable figures in respect of the nearest similar examinations in each of the last ten years.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to have circulated with the Official Report.
