Vol. 209 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Laois County Council Post.

28.

asked the Minister for Local Government if any decision has now been reached in regard to the Law Agent of Laois County Council; and, if not, when a decision will be reached.

A decision has not yet been taken. I cannot at this stage state when a decision will be reached as this depends on the nature of the officer's reply to a communication which is being issued to him.

Can the Minister give the House, from the records he has before him, any date as to when the communication was addressed to the officer concerned—the communication to which they are awaiting a reply in order to determine the matter?

A letter is being issued to him. It has not been issued.

May I address a query to the Minister in, say, a month's time?

That might be no harm. The letter is ready for issue.
