Vol. 209 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Distinguished Service Medals for Army Personnel.

96.

asked the Minister for Defence what progress has been made regarding the provision of medals for special distinguished service by Army personnel abroad.

The question of the design of An Bonn Seirbhíse Dearscna which, I assume, the Deputy has in mind, is under active consideration.

I might mention that service abroad is not necessary to enable Army personnel to be eligible for the award of the medal in question.
