Vol. 210 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Improvement of Kerry Pier.

33.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that a number of twenty-six to thirty-two foot boats are now fishing from the Maharees Pier, Castlegregory, County Kerry; and that this pier, having originally been built for use by canoes, is too small for the boats now wishing to use it; and if he will state, having regard to the fact that this pier has now been inspected several times with a view to improvements, what proposals he has for its improvement in the near future.

I am keeping the landings at this pier under observation with a view to determining what improvements could be justified.

What does that mean?
