Vol. 210 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Credit Corporation: Purchase of Dwellinghouse.

6.

asked the Minister for Finance if the Agricultural Credit Corporation have purchased a dwellinghouse at Burlington Road, Dublin; and, if so, why; and what the Corporation intend to do with Harcourt Street Railway station.

The property referred to by the Deputy was purchased by the Corporation in anticipation of additional accommodation needs. The Corporation is experiencing a more rapid rate of growth than was anticipated when the Harcourt St. premises were purchased. A hire-purchase division is now being established. As suitable sites are scarce, the Corporation considered it prudent to provide well in advance for future requirements. The question of disposing of the Harcourt St. premises does not arise at present.
