Vol. 210 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Greenane (Kerry) School.

45.

asked the Minister for Education whether he has under consideration a proposal to erect a new school at Greenane, Kenmare, County Kerry to replace the old school which was condemned by the health authorities as far back as twenty-five years ago; and, if so, what is the present position in the matter.

I do not consider that the erection of a new school to replace Direen national school, Greenane would be warranted in view of the small attendance of pupils at the school.

The question of having repairs carried out to the present school to render it serviceable for a period of years is being investigated.
