Vol. 210 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Community Hall for Ballyfermot (Dublin).

18.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that a large community hall is urgently required by the residents of Ballyfermot area; and if he will consider making a substantial grant available to Dublin Corporation for the purpose of building a community hall to include proper library accommodation and other facilities required by the residents of this extensive area.

I am not aware of any proposals for the provision of a community hall at Ballyfermot. There are no funds available from which I could make a grant towards the erection of such a hall. Grants up to 50 per cent of the annual loan charges incurred in the provision of library buildings may be made by An Chomhairle Leabharlanna to local authorities.
