asked the Minister for Education the number of university degrees, excluding honorary degrees, conferred by (a) the National University of Ireland, and (b) Dublin University, in each of the academic years 1961-62 and 1962-63.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:

The number of university degrees, excluding honorary degrees, conferred in the Constituent Colleges of the National University and in Trinity College, Dublin, during the years in question were:—
