According to the annual reports of the companies referred to, the numbers employed by them on 31st March, 1964 were: ESB 9,200; Bord na Móna 5,968 (maximum number employed during year); air companies 4,296.
The reports do not indicate the number of pensioners but I am informed by the companies that the number of pensioners at a date in June 1964 were: ESB 575; Bord na Móna 72; Aer Lingus 10; Aer Rianta nil.
