In compliance with Standing Order 138 of the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann relative to Public Business, I have to announce that Joan T. Burke has been elected to the Dáil at the By-Election held on 8th July, 1964, for the constituency of Roscommon consequent on the death of Deputy James J. Burke.
Deputy Joan T. Burke the new member for the constituency of Roscommon was introduced to the Ceann Comhairle by Deputy O'Sullivan and took her seat.
