Vol. 212 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Reactor Cattle.

105.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that there is widespread dissatisfaction among dairy farmers in County Limerick with regard to the prices being offered by his Department for reactor animals; and, if so, what steps he proposes to take to improve these prices.

The answer to the first part of the question is "No". I am satisfied that the prices being offered for reactors in Limerick are fair and reasonable and represent current market value.
