Vol. 212 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Economic Sanctions against South Africa.

14.

asked the Minister for External Affairs why Ireland in the United Nations has voted against the imposition of economic sanctions against South Africa; and whether the Government are prepared to reconsider their attitude in this regard.

I would refer the Deputy to the replies given to previous Dáil questions relating to the imposition of economic sanctions particularly to those given on 12th April, 1961, 21st November, 1962 and 18th June, 1963.

There has been no change in the Government's view on the matter.
