Vol. 212 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cattle Export Facilities at Dublin Port.

27.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he has seen a report regarding the inadequacy of accommodation and facilities at the port of Dublin for the export of cattle; and, if so, what action he proposes to take in the matter.

I have seen the report to which the Deputy refers. Discussions have taken place with the various interests concerned in the shipment of cattle from Dublin Port, particularly to the Continent of Europe and the question of arriving at a solution of this difficult problem is at present being actively pursued.
