asked the Minister for Local Government if it is now standard practice to pay reconstruction grants in one sum on completion of the work; and if so, why this change in practice has been made.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Payment of Reconstruction Grants.
75.
It is not the practice to pay reconstruction grants in all cases in one sum. Payments of instalments of reconstruction grants are made to persons who derive their livelihood solely or mainly from the pursuit of agriculture, whose valuations do not exceed £50, when at least half of the work measured in value has been carried out.
In all other cases payment of grant is made in one sum on satisfactory completion of the work.
