Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Co-Operative.

44.

andMr. Treacy asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he has received a proposal for the Glencolumbkille and Ardara parishes to form a ninety-farm co-operative for which they are seeking a substantial grant or loan from the Agricultural Credit Corporation; and, if so, if he is yet in a position to say whether he favours the development and is prepared to recommend that such a grant or loan be made available to the co-operative.

No specific proposals have been received by me, but I am aware that discussions about the feasibility of such a project are proceeding under the auspices of the Irish Agricultural Organisation Society. If concrete proposals are made to me as a result of these discussions, they will, of course, have my most careful consideration.
