Vol. 215 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Widow's Pension Appeal.

39.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why a long delay has occurred in having the appeal regarding the non-contributory widow's pension No. 2730158 (name supplied) heard; and when the appeal will be heard.

Inquiries regarding the employment in England of the widow concerned were necessary before her case could be referred to an appeals officer. These inquiries were, unfortunately, somewhat protracted. The case has now been submitted to an appeals officer and a decision may be expected very shortly.
